The image quality is excellent however the sound was abysmal! It became muzzled at times and the volume is very sporadic. There were strange noises coming from the speakers even. I returned my tv the following week.
This product was easy to set up, just connect the cable and turn on the television and everything automatically set up itself. Very easy for women to install. Great television for the price.
Overall the set meets or exceeds expectations, however I paid extra for the streaming feature which is built in. After reading the terms and conditions of the YAHOO sponsored and controlled streaming set up, I don't believe that anyone in their right mind who carefully read the Yahoo terms and conditions would accept them. Instead I have opted to stream from my computer which is cumbersome but not controlled by YAHOO. In fairness to the customer, I feel VIZIO should disclose that the streaming feature is controlled by the YAHOO organization.
I purchased this TV based upon the positive reviews and price. I was quite disappointed that the picture quality was poor. You could easily see the pixels and the picture was dark even after changing the settings. I felt my old box TV had a better picture. Additionally, all of the channels were cut off on each side so not all of the program could be seen. I ended up returning it for a Vizio (we already have a 55\") and was much more impressed.
This is the second Vizio I own. I have a 60\" also. Both are GREART. The only problem I had with the 50\" was the picture quailit was very poor. I returned it to Walmart and the replacement works just a good as the 60\" Walmart was very easy to work with and put one aside fro me so when I went to pick it up there was no problem at all.
Was not happy with ordering on-line. Local store (Cambridge) showed 1 in stock but after placing order, order was cancelled by Walmart. Then in ordering a second time at the Forest Lake store, credit card declined thinking it was a second charge for the same item.
This is an extremely heavy TV when compared to others of equal styles and sizes on the market. Picture is PERFECT. I do not use a lot of the extra functions however it has a decent selection. I was disappointed that I had to run through a setup on the screen before it would let me view anything else (mainly because the cable guy was waiting on me to finish). I would not recommend the use of the base if you have small children, invest in the wall mount. The base works but is not really stable with contact, hence the reference to small children.
The Vizio 60\" tv was easy to install ... easy to connect to the internet ... and produces the best picture I have ever seen !\n\nThanks WalMart and Vizio !
42" screen measured diagonally from corner to corner

What our shoppers say:
Willl never buy another Sanyo product
Purchased this TV for $388 plus tax on 4\/22\/12. On 5\/17\/13 tv shut off by its self while we were watching it & as of today will not power on. We have tried everything including unplugging\/plugging back in & trying different outlets, still no power. Called Sanyo & talked to very rude customer service rep & was given number of repair shop in my city but was told since the 1 year warranty was up we would be responsible for paying repair bill out of our pocket. The warranty was only up 2 weeks ago before TV quit working. Of course we didn't purchase extended warranty that Walmart offered because we thought we would get many years out of the TV. So now we are without almost $400 & left with a junk TV sitting in our living room. Will NEVER buy a Sanyo product again & I suggest that everyone else does NOT buy Sanyo either!
This is one of the Best TV's I have seen--My friends & family are amazed with everything about this TV--I have been researching and shopping for about a year and \"This is The TV\"--It took me 20 minutes from out of box to setup---The Picture is Fantastic--it instantly picked up my Internet--has lots of Useable features---I couldn't be more pleased!!
After getting 2 out of 3 good 55\" LG HDTV's for our house #1 came in with screen busted#, we ordered this heavier frame model for my father-in-law 3-1\/2 hours away from our home. This TV was delivered at his house with no readily visual damage in shipping; I made the long trip just to install it for him to no avail.......the screen was busted and where it started cracking I looked on front of the box and there was a slight indentation as if someone had sat on it while it was laying flat at some point in time. See photos below. Anyway, local Walmart store, another 1 hour drive away from his house, made good on the return. Based on how much we like our two 55\" LG's, I am sure this 50\" model is just as outstanding!
This is my second Visio. My family bought me a 32\" for Christmas and since my larger TV went out I did not hesitate to buy another. The picture quality was not good at first, so I contacted Direct TV, my server, and had all my TVs installed to receive better HD quality. What I like the most is the ability to change how it can receive the best pictures, ie, Movie, Game, Football, Baseball, Basketball, etc settings. It's built right in the TV. I've never had this ability in a TV before. I didn't buy the extended warranty. I thought this TV is the best and therefore not needed.
